The Dolomites are one of the lesser-explored, prize locations in the mountains of Italy, and we’re excited to announce that 8 photographers will be able to bolster their portfolios there in September 2023.
Co-hosted by Mark Pacura and Cole Roberts, this portfolio building workshop adventure will have countless scenic, nature-filled photography settings over two days. If you have an adventurous spirit and want to put that to the test, this workshop is for you.

When & where
September 12th & 13th, 2023
Cortina d’Ampezzo will be our base for the workshop. Cortina d’Ampezzo is located about 2 hours north of Venice, so rides will be offered for those having flights land around the same time as the hosts.
Around Cortina, we have locations absolutely dialled in. Having hosted this workshop in Cortina 7 times, we know where to go and the details only locals would know.
Your bolstered portfolio will thank you later for this workshop. With your new collection of insane photos, this whirlwind tour through Italy is one to jump on early.
Format & Size
This is a photography-heavy workshop and physically demanding (guests need to be comfortable with hiking in unpredictable weather conditions). Additionally, guests attending this workshop need to be comfortable with long drives. Nobody loves long car rides, yet we want to hit up the best locations so it is unavoidable. We visit as many spots as possible within a condensed time frame, so make no mistake – this workshop is full-on for two days.
Outside the photography, we will have group conversations midday in between sessions. These will touch on business topics and discuss you journey as an artistic-entrepreneur. However, knowing how previous Roadies have went, we know the photography and exploring is the core of this workshop. So if you are expecting a sit-down, keynote style workshop – that does not happen at Roadie as we are more spontaneous in structure.
Mark Pacura
Mark is the founder of Wooden Banana and his own wedding photography business.
Born in Poland and living in Glasgow, Mark is a father, husband, and maniac driver.
Cole Roberts
Cole is the co-founder of Way Up North, Kolla, Nordica and has been a Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016.
Cole lives in Gävle, Sweden with his wife and three kids. He wishes he spent more time at his cabin chopping wood and lighting fires while listening to country music.
Included / Not-included
Transportation is also included between Venice and Dolomites if guests have flights that are aligned with the hosts. Rides back to Venice airport on September 14th are offered if your trip coincides with Mark and Cole.
We meet on September 11th in Cortina in the evening for a group gathering. Then we’re right at it for two long days afterwards. The sessions will be at sunrise and sunset on September 12th and 13th, so these are long days. You will be exhausted, but fulfilled afterwards.
You are responsible to book accommodations in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Food and beverages are not included.
