Iceland Photography Workshop

Iceland Photography Workshop

The original Roadie location is heading home. April 25th and 26th 2023, come explore the wilds of Snæfellsnes and Reykjanes.

During the two days, locations will be vast. Hardened lava fields, geothermal areas, waterfalls, insane beaches, snowy glacier tops. There will even be those cute Icelandic ponies you see on Instagram everywhere.

This small workshop suites photographers looking for an adventure. Moreover, an incredible addition to their portfolios.

Along the way, experience some of the most breathtaking landscapes imaginable. You will visit the most pristine locations in the area with a small group of fellow adventurers

With Roadie I discovered an authentic adventure with an emphasis on personal development, rather than ending up with a portfolio of images that everyone else has. More than just a stylised shoot, and like no other workshop this is for the wild at heart, the fearless and the artists. – Chris Denner

When & Where

April 25th +26th, 2023

The group will meet in Reykjavik on April 24th in the afternoon. From Reykjavik we will drive together to Snæfellsnes. April 25th we will stay the night in Snæfellsnes. On the 25th and 26th, in Reykjavik.

Snæfellsnes is about two hours north-west of Reykavik and where we will explore on day one. On day two, we will visit Reykjanes which is about 30 minutes from Reykjavik. Each day at sunrise and sunset, we will photograph a couple and there will be a different couple each day.

Format & Size

This is a photography-heavy workshop and physically demanding (there is hiking involved on safe, flat trails that have uphill verticals involved). There will be two couples photographed with the sessions happening at sunrise and sunset. We will be hitting up as many spots as possible within a condensed time frame, so make no mistake – this workshop is all about photography.

Outside the photography, we will have group conversations midday in between sessions. These will touch on business topics and discuss you journey as an artistic-entrepreneur. However, knowing how previous Roadies have went, we know the photography and exploring is the core of this workshop.

Cole Roberts

Cole is the co-founder of Way Up NorthKolla, Nordica and has been a Fujifilm X-Photographer since 2016.

Cole lives in Gävle, Sweden with his wife and three kids. He wishes he spent more time at his cabin chopping wood and lighting fires while listening to country music.

Included / Not-included

Accommodations are not included. On the April 24th, the group will stay together at the same place in Snæfellsnes. Guests pay for themselves at check-in (location confirmed in December). On April 25th and 26th, we will stay in Reykjavik where people can choose a spot that works for them. We will introduce the group to one another when the workshop is full. Based on the intros, you may choose to share rooms if you’re looking to lower costs.

The workshop includes transportation from April 24th to 26th. We will meet in Reykjavik city centre the afternoon of the 24th, and leave in two vehicles. We then return to Reykjavik city centre on the 26th. Guests are responsible for their travels to and from Iceland. Food and beverages are not included.

Want to Model?

We are looking for two couples to photograph during the workshop.

Compensation is a complimentary seat for the workshop. So one day you model, the other day you are a regular workshop guest.

If you are a photographer interested in this, contact us.
